Walker River Trail Route

Emigrants made the steep climb out of Little Antelope Valley into the Lost Cannon Creek Valley, following the stream up past beaver ponds to grassy Summit Meadow. After a short stop, wagons rattled down the hill along Silver Creek into Pickel Meadow and then crossed over to Leavitt Meadow. From there began to rugged climb up to Fremont Lake and over the summit. A second pass awaited them and then a downhill stretch along Summit Creek and over to Relief Valley.
